Different buying situations in the business market

Question-1: What are the different buying situations in the business market?

The type of buying situation does affect the B2B buying process. There are 4 types of buying situations:

1.      New buy:  It is a business buying situation when the buyer purchases a product or services for the first time. A customer purchases a product for the first time, which means the buying decision is heavily involved due to both organizations being unfamiliar with each other.

2.      Modified rebuy: It is a business buying situation when the buyer really desires to change product requirements, costs, terms, or perhaps dealer. Buyer has purchased a similar product in the past, but has decided to change some specifications (price, quality level, customer service level, options, etc.).

3.     Straight rebuy: when the buyer simply buys additional units that have been already purchased in the past. It is a business buying situation when buyer routinely orders things without any changes or modification.

4.      System buying: It is a business buying scenario when the organization gives a single order to a single organization for supplying a full system.
